The main unit stores up to three months worth of data with easy viewing of historic records. The WS2083 has a transmission range of up to 100m (line of site) back to the main unit which displays temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind, rainfall, dew point, windchill, date/time, and short range forecast. With its easy set-up and comprehensive weather information the WS2083 is a popular choice for commercial and home users looking for accurate local weather monitoring and forecasting. Try embedding this script in an Indigo Group, and see if that makes a difference. The Aercus Instruments WS2083 is the next generation in all-in-one Professional Wireless Weather Station s. If you are not seeing these new variables in Indigo's variables window, then perhaps the script is having trouble locating the running indigo server. If you run this on the same machine where IndigoServer is running, you should see a bunch of new ws_xxxx variables show up in Indigo, corresponding to the values spewed forth from WeatherSnoop. The script will create the ws_xxxx variables for you if they do not already exist in Indigo. Just need a little direction to get the stuff in there. Once I get the stuff in there, I am good to go as far as the rest of the stuff.ie triggers/timers/controlpages. I ran it and checked the variables list and do not see any values there for the ws_ readings. or should it populate the variables list automatically. And Yes, I see the "ws_" designation prior to each reading.ĭumb question.Do I have to create the variables manually in the variable list then have the script running (as you say, embed it or trigger it with a timer). All the results show up in window below the script. I ran the script in Script Editor and it looks like it is working. This should create a new indigo variable prefaced with "ws_" for each of the values posted via telnet in WeatherSnoop. Set value of variable variable_name to value_string as date Set value of variable variable_name to value_string as string Set value of variable variable_name to value_string as real Set value_string to text item 1 of value_string Set value_string to text item 2 of value_string Set value_string to text item 2 of text item index of key_list If not (variable variable_name exists) then Set variable_name to ("ws_" & key_string) Set key_string to text item 1 of text item index of key_list Set the key_list to every text item of dictionary and put the values into Indigo variables. now that we (hopefully) have clean XML, we can parse it Set dictionary to text item 1 of dictionary Set AppleScript's text item delimiters to "" Set myString to history of selected tab as text first, run the command to fetch the weather data Just embed it into the timer, trigger or group of your choice. OK.Here is an AppleScript that will telnet into WeatherSnoop, parse its data and add those values to Indigo variables. Maybe someone hanging out here would be willing to give it a try? no promises.Īs for the TED script, please repeat your question in this thread I'll play around with this and see if I can come up with a way to capture this data to Indigo variables. Trial mode is the one that expires after 30 minutes of use unless you registewr the software. Yeah I saw that and was trying to replicate it (which I was able to figure out). Thanks again.btw that script or code you had for the TED5000.does it populate the value into your homepage.? (I have one as well) Not sure what you are referring to about the trial mode. I do have a box checked off on weathersnoop software to "Serve my data via TCP/IP to the port 5555" as a selection in which updates in realtime every couple of minutes. I do see all the data after I do it though. I am not sure if you saw the result I posted after I typed the Terminal command the guy gave me. I am kinda out of my element with this stuff.
